Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Lascombes features beautiful candied violets, Black Forest cake, cassis and menthol with hints of underbrush, cloves, pencil lead and tar. Medium-bodied with good intensity and firm, grainy tannins, it finishes long and perfumed. RP
This offers very attractive warm stones, spicy, brambly berries and nicely played, toasty oak. The palate has a bold, juicy and deep-set array of fine and sleek tannins that build nice and even into the finish. Great balance and lots to offer. JS
